Chop Stick Chin

Chop Stick Chin

Breaking the ice in a restaurant or pub gets conversations started. With small things on hand, you too can get tongues wagging. Grab a pair of chopsticks and you’re ready to go.

Guide lines
Ready, Steady, Go!

You can use a few different materials to make this happen, but a chopstick is best for this situation. Break a tip off one chopstick as per the photos and place it in your mouth, without anyone seeing.

Get someone’s attention by waving the intact chopstick.

Lend me your ears

Behold as I push this chopstick through my chin, into my mouth? Possible?

Don’t challenge them to get it right before you – it could end in a trip to the hospital for them.

Seal the Deal and Reveal

Adjust the tip of the chopstick in your mouth without being obvious. With your tongue you can place it facing upwards, in the same direction as the bottom of the chopstick, held against the bottom of your chin and mouth.

Make a ‘wah!’ or pained expression as you ‘push’ the chopstick into your chin. This involves sliding the chopstick down into the palm of your hand as per the photos – no real pushing into flesh required (or suggested).

Some extra lines you can try

  • Nothing gets people talking like a chopstick to the mouth.
  • No people or chopsticks were harmed during this stunt.
  • I think I’ve made a point, come through my chin.
Alternative ending

Using a straw works just as well. Try them both out. And practice in front of a mirror, revealing the straw or chopstick in your mouth with maximum effect.

Anticipated responses and retorts

Do you always put your chopstick with your mouth is?

Funny. And yeah, right after I put my money there.
