LifePrint is a portable photo printer and app that creates living photos by combining a printed photograph with digital video. The physical print itself is a regular image, but when viewed through the app, it becomes an augmented reality photo that plays up to 15 seconds of video with audio. The video doesn't have to be related to the photo at all, so users can get creative with choosing a video to embed. The app can also pull images directly from your GoPro without an intermediary device.
LifePrint supports printing directly from several services and devices, including Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Vine, Twitter, GoPro, Apple, Android, and more. The photos can be edited with basic tools like cropping and resizing, and photo filters can be applied. The printer itself uses ZINK’s no-ink technology with both regular ZINK photo paper and sticky paper.
With an estimated 2 billion photos shared via social media every day, LifePrint’s aim is to bring them to, well, life.
